Gov. Eno Expresses Delight Over Unity, Love Among A’Ibom People
… As He Receives Royal Fathers on Condolence Visit
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has expressed delight over the evident unity in the state, particularly among the royal fathers.
This was contained in his speech while addressing the Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers in the state and Ifum Ibom Ibibio, who paid a condolence visit to him at his country home, Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium Local Government Area.
“On behalf of my family, I thank you for coming to condole with us. I thank you for the love. Your coming shows unity of purpose, and this is what it portrays to the world. I pray that this unity will continue in Jesus’ name. Amen.
“I am aware that many of you have adjusted your personal schedules just to honor us. I truly appreciate it and pray that God will continue to bless you and our state in general.”
Also appreciating the royal fathers, the political leader of Nsit Ubium and Uyo Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Effiong Bob, remarked that the Governor’s peaceful disposition has radiated across the state. He expressed gratitude to the traditional fathers for their unity, love, and support for the Governor and his family.
Earlier, the President General of the Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers, Ntenyin (Dr.) Solomon Etuk, stated that the visit was to commiserate with the Governor and his family. He prayed that God would strengthen and protect them.
The President General, who is also the Oku Ibom Ibibio, assured the Governor of the traditional fathers’ unwavering support throughout the homegoing ceremonies and beyond.
Similarly, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Akwa Ibom Traditional Rulers, Odidem Bassey Etim Edet, who is also the Paramount Ruler of Udung Uko Local Government Area, commended the Governor for remaining focused on service despite the prevailing circumstances. He prayed for more grace and strength for the Governor to overcome the challenges.
