Gov. Diri, Wife, others in Sampou

 ...attend St. Peter's Anglican Church Harvest 

Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri alongside his wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Gloria Diri, Deputy Governor, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, today, attended the 2024 annual adult harvest thanksgiving service of the St. Peter's Anglican Church, Sampou in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area.

The program with the theme: "Honour the Lord with thy substance," also had top government officials joining in the harvest thanksgiving.

Governor Diri in his remarks, urged Bayelsans to always show love to one another and shun bitterness, stating that as a state, that is what we need to do, to move forward.

"I want to appreciate everyone for coming to honour God and by extension, those of us who are from this community.

I urge every Bayelsan to continue to be brotherly and exhude love, because we don't need hatred in our state. I'll continue to appreciate you on behalf of the prosperity government for your support”, Governor Diri stated.

Dignitaries at the harvest thanksgiving service include, Senator Konbowei Friday Benson, Senator representing Bayelsa Central Senatorial District, Hon. Oboku Oforji, member representing Yenagoa/Kolokuma/Opokuma Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Edwin Monday Bubou Obolo, Leader of the state House of Assembly and other members of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Solomon Agwana, Chairman, People's Democratic Party, Bayelsa State Chapter, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, Secretary to the state government, members of the state executive council, Chairmen of Local Government Areas, Barr. Mrs. Biobelemoye Charles-Onyema, Head of service, Bayelsa State, HRM, King Onya Mozi Agara, Ibedaowei of Kolokuma Kingdom, HRH, Famous Usukoromogha, Amananaowei of Sampou community and other top government officials.
