Courtesy visit: Gov. Diri Receives PAP Boss, Otuaro In Govt. House

 .... agrees on collaboration to alleviate poverty in the region 

... calls on administrator to revamp Kaiama training centre 

His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, today received the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) boss, Dr. Dennis Otuaro, in Government House, Yenagoa. 

The visit was to seek collaboration with the State's Government to expand the programme to include the empowerment of old women and create sustainable solutions to addressing the root cause of poverty in the region. 

Governor Diri, in his remark, urged the Amnesty boss to revamp the vandalised Kaiama recreational training centre built by Amnesty office.

"We will work with you and the interest of all of us is that our region should not be poverty, hunger and want as we have seen it today.

Amnesty also has a role to play. If you can revamp what is in Kaiama. Mr. Administrator, please, I would like you to look into the issue of Kaiama centre," Governor Diri said.

On his part, Dr. Otuaro commended the Governor for sustaining the peace in the State.
