Gov Fintiri Presides Over PDP Stakeholders Meeting

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Thursday led over the PDP stakeholders meeting held at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Yola.

The Governor declared openly that another election into the council may likely be conducted in the first quarter of next year.

The Governor charged the stakeholders to enlighten people at the grassroots on the direction of government and kick-off mobilisation in earnest ahead of the elections.

He urged them to hold some meetings at the Local Government levels and nominate to him competent persons from each of the 21 Local Government Areas before Sunday, 19th December, this year.

The Governor encouraged the party stakeholders to brace up and sensitise people on the ongoing (INEC) registration and that of PDP electronic or e-registration.

Earlier, the State Chairman of PDP, Barrister AT Shehu, called on party executives at all levels in the state to welcome returnees into the party and open up for more people who wish to join in.
Among the dignitaries who attended the events were the Deputy Governor, Chief Crowther Seth, SSG Mallam Bashir Ahmad, Chief of Staff Professor Maxwell Gidado, Commissioners, Advisers, Members of the House of Assembly, among others.
