Gov Douye Dori, Hosts State Banquet in Honour of The President And Members of The Nigerian Olympic Committee (NOC) in Yenagoa

Governor. Douye Diri, Thursday, hosted a State Banquet, in honour of the President of the Nigerian Olympic Committee (NOC) Engr. Habu Gumel and Members of the Nigerian Olympic Committee, at the Chief D.S.P Alamieyeseigha Memorial Banquet Hall, Government House, Yenagoa.

Governor Diri, while speaking at the State Banquet, stressed that sports, remains the unifying factor in Nigeria.

"Mr. President, members of the Olympic Committee, and all delegates to this annual general meeting, let me join to welcome you to Bayelsa State; a state that loves sports with passion, a state that like you have said will continue to welcome all sports lovers, and every one who is a sports lover indeed is a citizen of Bayelsa. Sporting activities remain a unifying factor among the people of this country."

"We are happy with your growth, and we are happy to understand and note that it was on this soil, the Glory of all Lands, that you emerged as president of the Nigerian Olympic Committee. And 20 years later, you and other of your colleagues have come again to this soil to have your annual general meeting. We are very sure that your meeting will be very fruitful, and we are sure that the same soil that produced you, will produce more Olympic medalists in Nigeria", Gov Douye Diri said.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
