APC Legislator, Over 10,000 Supporters Dump APC for PDP In Adamawa
๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ง๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ก๐ฆ๐๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ฎ ๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ซ๐ข Monday welcomed about 10,000 All Progressive Congress (APC) defectors to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) family, stating that he was not surprised at their action, in view of the poor level of leadership displayed by their former party, the All Progressive Congress.
The ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ง๐จ๐ซ urged the defectors to join the PDP-led Rescue Nigeria train, saying that the PDP will continue to do the needful to make the country great in terms of development, unity, and security, among others.
๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ซ๐ข applauded the immediate past Chairmen of Mubi South and North Local Government Councils for maintaining security in their areas and promised that Government will not relent in limiting and controlling the security dereliction and fracture in the State.
The ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ง๐จ๐ซ commended Musa Umar Mbororo for taking a bold step to decamp into the PDP and revealed that more State APC legislators are on the way into the ruling party, restating that government will continue prioritizing people’s welfare.
The legislator alongside over ten thousand supporters was received by the Leader of PDP in Adamawa, ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ง๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ก๐ฆ๐๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ฎ ๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ซ๐ข, at Isah Ahmadu Square in Mubi South Local Government Area.
Receiving the defectors, the State Chairman of PDP, ๐ฉ๐๐๐. ๐จ. ๐ป. ๐บ๐๐๐๐, urged party leaders across the State and Mubi South especially, to accommodate the returnees and give them a fair measure in all their activities.
The Speaker, Adamawa State House of Assembly, ๐๐ฉ. ๐๐ค๐ฃ. ๐ผ๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ช ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ผ๐๐๐๐จ, said with the coming of Musa Mbororo to PDP, Members in the House have become Fourteen (14) in number and reassured the Governor of their full support and loyalty.
The National Deputy Financial Secretary of PDP, ๐ฏ๐๐. ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ฒ๐๐๐๐๐, called on the people in the country to team up and join the party in order to change the APC- led Federal Government in the 2023 General Elections.
The Chairman of the occasion, doubling as Pro-chancellor and Chairman Adamawa State University Mubi, ๐๐ค๐ฃ. ๐ผ๐ช๐ฌ๐๐ก ๐๐ช๐ ๐ช๐ง, observed that Musa Mbororo is a politician who commands a great influence in politics and he is an asset to PDP.
The Party Chairman, Mubi South Local Government, ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ฎ ๐๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐ถ ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ฅ๐ข๐ถ๐ฏ๐ข, thanked ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ง๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ก๐ฆ๐๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ฎ ๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ซ๐ข for his developmental strides, saying the development has attracted among others sixty political groups from APC into the PDP.
Responding on behalf of the defectors, ๐ฏ๐๐. ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐น๐๐๐๐ and ๐ด๐๐๐๐ ๐ฐ๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ ๐ asked for forgiveness from PDP leaders and the people, for working against the coming of the ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐๐๐๐-led a๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ and pledged their support and loyalty to the Governor.
Also, the Governor paid homage to the Emir of Mubi, Alhaji Abubakar Isah Ahmadu, in his palace in Mubi.
The Governor notified the Paramount Ruler that he was in Mubi Zone to flag off and inspect a number of projects in the area awarded by his administration, and informed the Royal Father that the present administration is pleased with his support and pleaded with him to maintain the spirit for the development of Adamawa.
He reassured the Royal Father that Government will continue to stem the the insecurity in Mubi Zone and Adamawa State at large, to ensure a crime-free state.
The Royal Father, the Emir of Mubi, Alhaji Abubakar Isah, reiterated that development can only be achieved when there is peace and harmony in the land.
The Royal Father commended the Governor for the numerous projects embarked upon by his administration and described him as a man with zeal and passion to uplift Adamawa to greater heights.
The Emir urged the people of his kingdom and indeed Adamawa to seek God’s intervention and perform righteous acts at all times as a panacea to ending all forms of crimes in the State.
The Governor was accompanied to the palace by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, Members of the State House of Assembly, Commissioners and other top government functionaries, Party officials, among others.
