The PDP Gubernatorial Campaign trail for the re-election of Governor Douye Diri and Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo was today received by crowd of supporters in the communities along the creeks of Sagbama.
The team stopped to campaign carnivals in Ogobiri, Ossiama, Akeddei, Toru-Ebeni, Okumbiri, Kabeama, Agoro, and Sagbama town where the people have resolved to vote massively for the PDP.
With great joy, a couple of the communities in their excitement confirmed that it was indeed the first time a sitting civilian Governor would be setting his foot on their soil.
Governor Diri, said he was going round the communities to personally appreciate their developmental needs and assured that the three new conceived roads, Bolou-Orua-Kabeama-Ossiama-Toru-Ebeni road, Toru-Ebeni-Akeddei-Ogboinbiri-Ukubie road and Toru-Ebeni-Egbema-Angalabiri road would open up several communities for new economic opportunities for development.
Governor Diri who promised to build a new landing jetty at Akeddei, approved the request of the Agoro people for the construction of 6 km Agoro-Bolou-Orua road.
The Lawmaker representing Sagbama constituency 2, Hon. Benard Kenebai, was on ground to lead the campaign trail round the different communities.
The Director-General of the Campaign Council, Hon. Mitema Obordor, assured the people of Sagbama Constituency 2 that Governor Diri means well for them and called on them to reciprocate the good gesture by voting en mass for the PDP.
The Governor alongside his Deputy were accompanied on the campaign by Senator James Manager, Hon. Fred Agbedi, Hon. Oforji Oboku, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, the State Chairman of the PDP, Chief Solomon Agwana, other top government functionaries.
