Gov. Diri takes PDP Guber campaign trail to Southern Ijaw Constituency-4

 ....visits Ukubie, Ogboinbiri, Korokorosei, Olugbobiri communities

....approves construction of Toru-Ebeni-Ogboinbiri-Ukubie road, renovation of Ukubie cottage hospital

Ahead of the November 11, Bayelsa State Gubernatorial election, the campaign trail of the People's Democratic Party, (PDP), today visited Ukubie community, the headquarters of Southern Ijaw Constituency 4.

Speaking on behalf of the people, the Chairman of Bayelsa State Internal Revenue Board, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, thanked Gov. Douye Diri and his Deputy, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, for their commitment to the development of the state, while assuring him that the constituency would vote massively for the PDP as it has always done in the past.

While addressing the people at the Akpalakpa Grammar School Playground, the PDP candidate and Governor of the state, Senator Douye Diri, appreciated the people of Constituency-4, for standing firmly with the PDP.

Gov. Diri reiterated his Prosperity Administration's commitment to the completion of the Yenagoa-Oporoma-Ukubie road to ease the transportation difficulty of the people in the area.

Gov. Diri also told the people that he has directed the inclusion of the Toru-Ebeni-Ogboinbiri-Ukubie road in the 2024 budget to connect more communities in the constituency. 

Thereafter, the campaign trail departed Ukubie and stopped briefly at Ogboinbiri to inaugurate completed market stalls before it moved to Korokorosei and Olugbobiri communities.

Some of the notable personalities from the constituency present at the rallies were, the Senator representing Bayelsa Central, Senator Konbowei Friday Benson, his predecessor, Senator Moses Cleopas, Secretary to State government, Alabo Gideon Ekeuwei, Commissioner for Power, Hon. Ebitei Tonyon, Special Adviser to the Governor on Women in Politics, Hon. Ekeuwei Josephine, DG Center for Youth Development, Hon. Charity Kens Godwin, Southern Ijaw Caretaker Chairman, Lucky Okodeh, chairman, Bassan/Koluama and Olodiama RDAs, Hon. Ekeuwei Cornelius and Hon. Mrs. Amara Leah, among others.
