Gov. Fintiri Attends World Teachers' Day

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State, Thursday, attended the World Teachers' Day.

The event which was held at Mahmud Ribadu Square, Yola was organised by NUT to commemorate the 2023 World Teachers' Day.

At the event, Governor Fintiri restated the commitment of his administration to continue to better the welfare of teachers.

He disclosed plans by the government to ensure training and retraining of teachers to improve service delivery.

In his remarks, the State Chairman of NUT, Atiku Buba, commended Governor Fintiri for approving N30,000 minimum wage for primary school teachers.

The event was attended by the Deputy Governor, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta and Speaker of the State Assembly, Bathiya Wesley.
