Governor Agbu Kefas Extends Gratitude to DSS Director General, Mr. Yusuf Magaji Bichi

 Marking a significant step towards fostering collaboration and expressing his appreciation, Governor Agbu Kefas paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Yusuf Magaji Bichi, the Director General of the Department of State Security Service (DSS).

During the meeting, Governor Kefas extended his heartfelt appreciation to DG Bichi for the unwavering support and vital intelligence reports provided by the DSS to enhance the security situation within Taraba State.

"I must commend the DSS for their dedicated service in safeguarding Taraba State," Governor Kefas stated. 

"The intelligence reports have been instrumental in maintaining peace and security in our beloved state."

Furthermore, Governor Kefas took the opportunity to propose an initiative that would further strengthen the relationship between the State Government and the DSS. 

He requested the construction of staff quarters for DSS personnel in Taraba State, emphasizing the importance of providing a conducive and secure living environment for these dedicated professionals. 

The Governor also pledged to allocate suitable land for the project.

In response, the Director General, Yusuf Magaji Bichi, offered his congratulations to Governor Agbu Kefas on his recent electoral victory, expressing his confidence in the Governor's leadership.

The DG assured the Governor that the Department of State Security Service will continue to offer its steadfast support to Taraba State in the interests of peace and security.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities.
