BALA MOHAMMED ON QUARANTINE ON CORONAVIRUS

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, is currently in quarantine after testing positive for Coronavirus disease.



Briefing journalists on the health status of the Governor, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Aliyu Maigoro, said that so far the Governor did not show any sign or symptom of the virus.

The Commissioner who said that the Governor is currently receiving adequate treatment, noted that, officials of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control are in the State to give their support.

"What I will assure Nigerians and citizens of Bauchi State in particular is that His Excellency, is doing very fine, he is not showing any sign or symptom up to now, he is already in quarantine receiving adequate treatment".

"We have also taken the blood sample of 15 people who are close to the Governor for further investigation and insolation".

Dr. Aliyu Maigoro said that the State Government on its part, has taken proactive measures to tackle the spread of the virus through reactivation of its facilities.
