Gov. Ishaku Recognised For His Achievements; Receives Award

Governor of Taraba State, Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku, Tuesday, received an award as the “Best Governor on Economic Recovery and Growth of the Agricultural Sector in Nigeria 2020”.

The award was necessitated by Governor Ishaku’s vision for agricultural rebirth aside underlying benefits of his administration’s achievements in the area of empowerment through skill acquisitions on young Tarabans who have benefitted from the schemes, ranging from Ministry of Women and Poverty Alleviation to Hope Afresh Foundation.

The award was received by the former Minister for Water Resources, Chief Obadiah Ando, alongside Mr. Moses Maikomo, Permanent Secretary of Taraba Liaison Office, Abuja amongst notable Taraba dignitaries.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families. Announcing the donation at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Little Rayfield, the First Lady said that government is concerned about their plight.  Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her deep concern for the victims, stating that the news of the deteriorating security situation in Mangu Local Government Area on May 15, 2023, had deeply saddened her.  She acknowledged the devastation and despair faced by the affected communities, with destroyed homes and disrupted sources of livelihood.
