SOKOTO TRADE FAIR 2020 AS CATALYST FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

On Wednesday, March 18, 2020, all roads will lead to the Trade Fair Complex, Mabera, Mujaya, Sokoto, venue of the Sokoto National Trade and Exhibition Fair 2020.

Sokoto State Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, CFR will perform the official opening of the Trade Fair.


Organized by the Sokoto Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture in collaboration with the Sokoto State Government, the Trade Fair will bring into focus the abundant potentials and business opportunities existing in Sokoto State. It will also afford trade groups and professionals the opportunity to showcase new and innovative products.

The Sokoto National Trade and Exhibition Fair is one of the key steps  of the private sector and the Governor Aminu Tambuwal-led administration to boost the economy of Sokoto State and make it a destination of choice for investors.

The State Government has provided conducive investment climate through "supportive governance structures, competition policy, hard and soft infrastructure and instruments that foster healthy, commercially sustainable markets".

Legal and institutional frameworks are in place. Mouth watering incentives are also on offer to all investors interested in doing business in the State.

One of the arrowheads of Governor Tambuwal's drive towards reinventing Sokoto State's economy is the resourceful and innovative Commissioner for Commerce and Trade Development, Bashir Gidado.

His team has been working closely with the Sokoto Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture to pull off an excellent and memorable Trade Fair. The Trade Fair promises to be a showpiece. A giant step towards the revitalization of Sokoto State economy.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
