MATAWALE ASSURES EARNED PEACE AND SECURITY IN THE STATE

By Admin

Governor Bello Matawale of Zamfara State has noted the growing concern of the general public in the State regarding recent developments in terms of the security situation in the State.

In a statement made available to news men, he once again assured the good citizens of Zamfara State that his administration is working round the clock to ensure that the hard earned peace in the State is not scuttled by anyone, no matter the cost.

He added also that his administration has succeeded in reaching a peace accord with more than 80% of the over 100 groups of erstwhile bandits operating in the State which brought the peace we are currently enjoying.

More so, he said that the repentant bandits are assisting the security operatives in neutralising the remaining groups who refused to cooperate, which has so far, yielded all desirable results in the past.

He pointed out that due to the porous nature of our borders, bandits from neighbouring States are making dangerous incursions into some of the villages especially in Gummi, Bukkuyum, Anka and Maru Local Government Areas with very unfortunate incidences taking place there.

He therefore urged the public to continue assisting the security operatives with intelligence by reporting any suspicious movements within their locality.

"Together, we shall defeat all evil and liberate Zamfara State from the evil ones", he emphasized.
