Enugu Govt bans weddings, burial ceremonies, civil servants to work from home

The Enugu State Government, on Tuesday, banned all forms of social and political gatherings.

This comes as the threat of coronavirus continues to worsen globally.

The ban was announced by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of the State during a state-wide broadcast.

Included in the ban are marriage and burial ceremonies, as well as all forms of political gatherings.

Governor Ugwuanyi equally announced that civil servants and public servants would now henceforth work from home.

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities.
