Gov. Diri visits King Edmund Daukoru of Nembe Kingdom, sues for peace

.... pays condolence to the Obuebite's

His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State today visited Amanyanabo of Nembe Kingdom, His Eminence King Edmund Daukoru.

Gov. Diri was primarily in Nembe city to pay a condolence visit to his Special Adviser on Investments, Dr. Jonathan Obuebite, over the death of his father, Late Chief Robinson Baratuaipre Obuebite-Aneri.


Governor Diri, requested the monarch to ensure sustenance of the peace in Nembe to attract development opportunities.

"We are here to pay homage and let you know we are in Nembe for this condolence visit.  We are here also to request that the peace we are enjoying in Nembe will continue to reign. 


I have said it over and again that no place can develop without peace. We need to exhume love. Let me appreciate you and other leaders of Nembe for ensuring that peace returns to Nembe",  Gov. Diri said.

The Governor later visited the family house of the deceased, the Dede Group of Houses and residence of Dr. Jonathan Obuebite.
