Governor Douye Diri receives Under -18 Handball National champions.

Governor Douye Diri today received the Bayelsa State U-18 female handball team, winners of the Under-18 Handball competition that was held in Lagos.

The team was coached by Mr. Opuene Robert Yekorogha and captained by Maurene John.


"First I like to thank God for making today possible and for delivering victory to you and the state of Bayelsa.


On behalf of the prosperity government of your state and the good people of Bayelsa state, I want to appreciate you and thank you for been our ambassadors, people who have the state at heart and been our children who have devoted themselves to serve the state and to make sure that the image of the state is not brought down. Congratulations and you deserve a lot of rewards. And more will come when you go to the next phase to represent Nigeria soon."
