2021 EID EL KABIR: Ikpeazu Salutes Abia Muslims And Calls For Peace And Tolerance

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has rejoiced with Muslims in the State on the occasion of the Eid El Kabir celebration urging them to vigorously pursue and entrench the ideals of peaceful coexistence and the virtues of tolerance.

The Governor congratulated them on this year's Sallah and challenged them to imbibe the characteristics associated with the Holy Prophet Mohammed (SWT) like humility, sacrifice, love, peace and unity.

He tasked them to eschew those things that create religious tension and thanked Muslims in the State for keeping the peace. He also challenged them to assist the Government to fish out the bad eggs amongst them whose aim is to create unnecessary religious tension in the State, noting that the Muslims in the State have been great advocates of peace and have remained law abiding.

He assured Muslims and indeed, all Abians that his administration shall continue to uphold the religious rights of every citizen and provide enabling environment for the sustenance of peace and harmony amongst all those living in the State.
