Gov. Diri inspects ongoing projects

 

... expresses satisfaction with progress of work

His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State has again visited sites of various ongoing projects in the state.

The projects inspected include Yenagoa-Oporoma road, Igbogene-AIT outer ring road, the Glory Drive, Igbedi road, the Media complex and the road linking Onopa community to the new GRA and the Castle hotel.


Gov. Diri, who met various contractors on site alongside Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Surveyor Moses Teibowei, was very excited at the level of progress achieved at the various sites.


At the Yenagoa-Oporoma road, the contractor is just few kilometres to Angiama community as a long stretch has been sand filled. Work ongoing on the bridge at Aguobiri.

Other top government functionaries who accompanied the governor were  Rt. Hon. Monday Bubou Obolo, Leader of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Tonye Isenah, (Kolga 1). Hon. Wisdom Fafi (Kolga 2), Hon. Tari Porri (Ekeremor 1), Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Hon. Ayibaina Duba, Commissioner for Water Resources, Mr. Keme Wariebi, Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Daniel Igali, Principal Executive Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Irorodamie Komonibo and Engr. Ebiye Tarabina,  Chairman, Directorate for Project Monitoring and Evaluation.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families. Announcing the donation at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Little Rayfield, the First Lady said that government is concerned about their plight.  Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her deep concern for the victims, stating that the news of the deteriorating security situation in Mangu Local Government Area on May 15, 2023, had deeply saddened her.  She acknowledged the devastation and despair faced by the affected communities, with destroyed homes and disrupted sources of livelihood.
