Governor Darius Ishaku flags off Fetilizer distribution ,discloses rate to be sold to farmers.

Governor Darius Ishaku has flagged off the distribution of fertilisers and other Agro products in the state, speaking during the ceremony, he said this was to enable the fortune of Taraba farmers improve and not to enriched some sets of persons. The Governor disclosed that the fertiliser will be released to farmers at a subsidise rate and he will make sure that farmers get genuine means of this inputs. 

The Governor disclosed that he has made provision for hundreds of mini tractors but however sad that the CBN has not giving him approval to import them and wish that sooner or later they will turn on a smiling face towards that. He stated that 2000 metric tone of maize seeds, 100 matric-tone of  soya seeds, 100 tone of  sesame seeds,  12,000 bundle of Cassava stems will all be distributed to farmers for free. He disclosed that 4,740 metric-tone of  fertilisers comprising of NPK and Urea has been procured and will be sold at a subsidise rate saying NPK will be sold at 6500 Naira,  while Urea will be sold at 8000 Naira per bag. He said this effort will not only burst agriculture in the state but will also ease farmers from certain burdens as profits will also rise. He mentioned areas affected by crisis and said distribution will be priorities in those areas so as to effect a total restoration of peace.
The Governor called on the youths to engage in Agro farming so that together poverty can be eradicated in the state. He called on farmers and harders to close ranks and live in peace just as it was at the initial stage

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities.
