Ortom Tasks Benue Indigenes On Private Sector Investment
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has tasked Benue indigenes to explore the window provided by the Bank Of Industry, BOI and Benue State Government for private sector investment.
Governor Ortom who gave the charge today while commissioning First Fertility One Stop Medicare Mall in Makurdi said funds domiciled with the BOI could be accessed at five percent interest for investment in various sectors which would lead to a boost in the economy.
The Governor who acknowledged the contributions of First Fertility Hospital to healthcare delivery in the State, stressing that himself, Benue and Nigeria in general are proud of the Medical Director of the hospital, Doctor Stephen Hwande.
While charging people of the state to patronise the facility, Governor Ortom said it's coming on board would reduce travelling outside the state for medical consumables and certain medical services.
Governor Ortom directed the State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Joseph Ngbea to originate a memo for possible support to the facility and also assured the proprietor of patronage.
Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Joseph Ngbea described Dr Hwande as one of the critical stakeholders in the medical profession, saying the ministry would support him to succeed.Medical Director of First Fertility Hospital and owner of the First Fertility One Stop Medicare Mall, Dr Hwande acknowledged the support of Governor Ortom and his wife to the project, saying the First Lady commissioned his hospital in 2015 and prayed for heights which is what was witnessed today.
He thumbed up Governor Ortom for the establishment of Benue State Health Insurance Board and Primary Healthcare Board, saying his attention to the health sector is commendable.The facility has a cold room, pharmaceutical services, laboratory reagents, mini-mart, anti-natal shop, 4D-Scan among others and would provide 24 hours services to the people.
