PMB, GEJ, Tambuwal, Govs, Others Grace Gov. Darius Son Wedding

President Muhammadu Buhari was among high profile Nigerians that graced the wedding of the son of the Taraba State Governor, Ikan-Tubul Darius Ishaku.

Represented by the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Leo Irabor, the President was joined by his predecessor, former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ), Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and the Gov. Nasiru el-Rufa’i of Kaduna state.

Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi state, the deputy governors of Adamawa, Borno and Taraba were also at the Saviours Anglican Church in Kaduna where the marriage was solemnized.

Also in attendance was had in attendance, the former Governor of Gombe, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo.


President Buhari congratulated the families of the couple, as he used the occasion to seek support of Nigerians in the ongoing fight against terrorism. 

Similarly, former President Dr Jonathan wished the couple a successful married life.


In a vote of thanks, the father of the groom, Governor Darius Ishaku expressed gratitude to Governor Bala and other high profile personalities for attending the  wedding.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families. Announcing the donation at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Little Rayfield, the First Lady said that government is concerned about their plight.  Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her deep concern for the victims, stating that the news of the deteriorating security situation in Mangu Local Government Area on May 15, 2023, had deeply saddened her.  She acknowledged the devastation and despair faced by the affected communities, with destroyed homes and disrupted sources of livelihood.
