PDP Governors Celebrate With Gov. Udom Emmanuel At 55

Governors under the aegis of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) under the chairmanship of Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal CFR, Governor of Sokoto State are happy to join the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, as he celebrates his 55th birthday anniversary (July 11, 2021).

We roll out the red carpet as we join members of your family, friends and the entire citizenry of Akwa Ibom State in thanking God for keeping faith with you all these years and for the blessings of wisdom in your life. We also thank God Almighty for his benevolence, love and care on you and your family.


3. The Forum is particularly enamoured by your numerous accomplishments and milestones since you assumed office as Governor in 2015. The Ibom Air company has continuously raised the bar in aviation successes and standard, growing to become one of the most resilient airline in the country in terms of safety and passenger comfort.


4. Your prudence in the management of state resources has been uncommon, endearing you to both international and domestic watchers of the economy of the state over the years. This is directly felt in your consistent inauguration of people-oriented projects and polices in fiscal discipline, education, culture, tourism and history, agriculture and social infrastructure.


5. Uyo, your state capital has become the first choice of most tourists who want to experience the rare and breath-taking sites and sounds of the culture of the people of the state. These have in no small measures, re-awakened the essence of purposefulness in the life of Akwa Ibomites.


6. The Forum is proud to be associated with your successes and contributions to the cohesion, robust debate on issues and the sense of camaraderie existing within the leaders of the party, and positioning the PDP as a worthy alternative to the failures of the President Muhhamadu Buhari led APC administration at the federal level.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families. Announcing the donation at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Little Rayfield, the First Lady said that government is concerned about their plight.  Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her deep concern for the victims, stating that the news of the deteriorating security situation in Mangu Local Government Area on May 15, 2023, had deeply saddened her.  She acknowledged the devastation and despair faced by the affected communities, with destroyed homes and disrupted sources of livelihood.
