Bayelsa Gov Says He Always Valued His Relationship With Gov Bala

....Says he is key towards his emergence as Bayelsa Governor


Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State on Sunday morning says his counterpart in Bauchi state, Governor Bala Mohammed is key towards his emergence as Bayelsa Governor.

Governor Douye Diri made this known when he paid a sallah homage to Emir of Bauchi, Dr Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu at his palace accompanied by Governor Bala Mohammed.


The Bayelsa Governor said Governor Bala Mohammed who was the chairman of PDP campaign council in Bayelsa gubernatorial election, performed credibility for the victory of the party.

According to him, with leaders like Bauchi Governor who have people's welfare at heart, Nigeria will be greater and more united.


"Your Royal Highness, I bring you greetings from the Government and people of Bayelsa State. Bayelsa and Bauchi have a good relationship and we are here to seek for your blessings and to say we thank you for what you are doing to us."


"Let me place it on record today that part of those who work in the process that brought me to power and key persons is Senator Bala Mohammed. At all times, I valued the relationship I have with my ranking Senator and Governor."


Governor Douye Diri appreciated the developmental projects of Governor Bala Mohammed being executed in Bauchi state, saying that, people of Bayelsa is grateful to him for his support to them.

"Since I came to Bauchi, I interacted with many people and the story has been a good good and in conclusion, Senator Bala is working and moving Bauchi forward."


He once again appreciated the traditional title of Wakilin Kudun Bauchi conferred on him by the Bauchi Emirate Council and assured the Emir that he will represent the emirate and Bauchi well in the south.


On the numerous challenges facing the country, the Bayelsa Governor expressed optimism that with the excellent performance of PDP Governors in their respective states, Nigerians will overcome the challenges.



On his part, Governor Bala Mohammed described Governor Douye Diri as a politician per excellence and thanked the Emir for the traditional title conferred on the Bayelsa Governor.


Responding, the Emir of Bauchi, Dr Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu acknowledged the outstanding performances of the two Governors in their states through execution of people-oriented projects.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families.
