Gov. Agbu Kefas Receives Ministry Progress Reports, Announces Imminent Completion of State Development Master Plan

The Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has said that work on the state development master plan will soon be ready to pave the way for speedy development of the state.

The Governor stated this on Tuesday at the Exco Chamber Government House Jalingo during the Presentation of Ministerial Progress reports.

After listening keenly to the presentation of a consultant, Ms. Ejiro Jakpa on Ministries Progress Reports, the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas said he engaged the consultant even before he was sworn into office to see areas the state is not relating well especially regarding partnership and interventions programmes.

Dr. Agbu Kefas said the presentation is an eye opener on the journey so far, where the government got it right, or wrong and the way forward.

He assured that the State Government would do right following international best practices and relating properly with partners.

Dr. Agbu Kefas regretted that he met the state without a development master plan but that he is working actively with the Bureau for Land and Survey to make sure they come up with a comprehensive master plan for the state.

The Consultant on Ministries' Progress Reports, Ejiro Jakpa presented highlights of the progress reports of every Ministry.

She said over 40 partners and organizations have been identified to partner with the State to improve IGR and empower the youth and women among others.

The occasion was well attended by top government functionaries.
