Mbah mourns late Sen Ayogu Eze, describes him as a colleague, brother
Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has described the death of the former Senator who represented Enugu North Senatorial District at the National Assembly between 2007 and 2015, Ayogu Eze, as an irreparable loss for the state.
The Governor gave the remarks on Tuesday night during a Night of Tribute organised in honour of the late notable politician in Enugu, added that Senator Eze was “my colleague and brother”, even as he prayed God to accept his soul in his bosom.
The Governor, who also extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Senator, said the people of the state had taken solace in the selfless contributions made by the Senator during his lifetime.
While stating that he has been devastated since the news about the passage of the Senator was brought to his attention, Dr. Mbah reminded the people gathered at the event that Senator Eze served as his colleague in the same government before being elected into the senate.
