 GOODWILL MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE OF BAUCHI STATE BY HIS EXCELLENCY, SEN. BALA ABDULKADIR MOHAMMED CON,Fnipr ( Kauran Daular Usmaniya ) THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF BAUCHI STATE ON THE OCCASION OF 2024 EID-EL-KABIR CELEBERATION ON SUNDAY, 16TH JUNE, 2024.


In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent and the Merciful.


FELLOW CITIZENS OF BAUCHI STATE


We give praise to Allah (SWT) for graciously sparing our lives to witness yet another Eid-el- Kabir celebration. As we all know, the Eid-El-Kabir is celebrated annually by the Muslims Umma to commemorate the spiritual sacrifice made by Prophet Abraham (AS) who, in total submission to the will of Allah, answered the Divine call to sacrifice his only son, Prophet Ismail (AS). It is therefore incumbent on the Muslim Ummah to observe the highest spiritual sacrifice ever made In observance of Divine injunction.

2- The occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir should be used to reflect on how we have fared morally and spiritually during the last one year so as to take corrective measures, where necessary, for us to be amongst the believers who will enjoy the mercies of Allah (SWT) in the hereafter. Islam as a religion propagates total submission to the will of Allah (SWT) and peaceful co-existence amongst the Muslim Ummah and with adherents of other faiths. The Holy Qur'an has also commanded all Muslims to give something (in charity) to the less privileged ones among them out of the treasure which Allah has bestowed on them. This should be done without consideration for religious, ethnic or political differences. We should also use the Eld-el Kabir occasion to strengthen the existing interpersonal relationships and create new ones. There is also the need for us to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness, humility and respect for one another. We should pray for the prevailing peace in the State to be sustained and for adequate rainfall for us to have a bumper harvest during this farming season.


3-  I would like to use  this occasion to reiterate the irrevocable commitment of my Government to serve the good people of Bauchi State better than it did during our first term. As you have seen for yourselves, we have continued the aggressive execution of programmes and projects that have direct bearing on your lives, especially infrastructural development.


4- We are not unmindful of the economic hardship being experienced by the generality of the people. This is a national problem which is being jointly addressed by the Federal and State Governments. I want to appeal to you to bear with the situation which Is temporary. As a responsive responsible Government, we will render palliative measures with a view to cushioning the effects of the hardship. I will however appeal to you to make some sacrifices to ensure that we overcome the hardship.


5- Let me use this opportunity to appeal to all motorists to observe traffic regulations so as to minimize accidents on our highways throughout the period of Eid-el-Kabir celebration and beyond. I appeal to parents to monitor the movement of their children and wards in order to reduce the incidents of missing children during this festivity.


6-  Finally, I wish you Allah's guidance and blessings throughout the Eid-el-Kabir celebration and beyond.

Education Remains a Top Priority of Our Policy Thrust: Gov. Fubara

The Rivers State Government says it will continue to place education as one of the top most priorities of its policy thrust. Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara stated this during the 34th Convocation Ceremony of the University of Port Harcourt on Saturday 24th February, 2024. Governor Mutfwang Crowns New Ngolong Ngas, HRH Nde Jika Golit

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has performed the coronation of the New Ngolong Ngas, Nde Jika Golit. The ceremony is coming nine years after the demise of the late Ngolong Ngas, Nde Joshua Dimlong. Governor Mutfwang, who performed the presentation of staff of office and certificate to the New Ngolong Ngas at the Pankshin Township Stadium, praised the Ngas Nation for a rancor-free selection process of the new Ngolong Ngas.
