PDP Governors’ Forum Congratulates Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori On His 61st Birthday

The Peoples Democratic Party Governor's Forum, PDPGF, under the chairmanship of H.E. Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, and Governor of Bauchi State,

on behalf of all member Governors, heartily celebrates H.E. Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State on this special day, as he turns 61 years.

2.  The Forum joins his family, friends and indeed all Deltans, home and abroad, to give all thanks to the Almighty God for his life, protection, sound health and endless grace, among others.

3.    Not too long ago, we had joined him at Thanksgiving on his first anniversary in office for the wisdom and capacity to lead all Deltans at his best.

4. Obviously, his experience at the State Legislature as Honourable Speaker for six years (2017-2023) surely counted.

5. In that same spirit, the Forum is bold to say that he has achieved several notable milestones within this time in Infrastructure Development including flood control measures, Education at all levels, Security, Healthcare, SME funding, Sports development and consolidation, Workers' capacity enhancement and improved welfare where he ensured the payment of N5.5 billion in promotion arrears, firmly making a difference for the people he serves, among other things.

6. He has initiated employment opportunities into the State Primary Schools to elevate the education standard; as well as expanded the State Health Insurance Scheme, making healthcare more accessible to non-government workers through a modest annual contribution.

7. His philanthropic works equally speak volume that he is a father to all Deltans having provided scholarships to indigenes and non-indigenes under the Oborevwori Foundation Scholarship Scheme; and Entrepreneurship Support/Empowerment endeavours to support petty traders, market women and artisans over time

8.    The Forum prays that God will grant him necessary wisdom and humility as he fully settles down to serve the State and people and indeed the country at large.

9.    We assure him of our unalloyed support and solidarity always.

10.     Happy 61st birthday anniversary once again!

Education Remains a Top Priority of Our Policy Thrust: Gov. Fubara

The Rivers State Government says it will continue to place education as one of the top most priorities of its policy thrust. Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara stated this during the 34th Convocation Ceremony of the University of Port Harcourt on Saturday 24th February, 2024. Governor Mutfwang Crowns New Ngolong Ngas, HRH Nde Jika Golit

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has performed the coronation of the New Ngolong Ngas, Nde Jika Golit. The ceremony is coming nine years after the demise of the late Ngolong Ngas, Nde Joshua Dimlong. Governor Mutfwang, who performed the presentation of staff of office and certificate to the New Ngolong Ngas at the Pankshin Township Stadium, praised the Ngas Nation for a rancor-free selection process of the new Ngolong Ngas.
