Bauchi Gov Visit His Counterpart of Gombe, Mourns Usman Faruk and Sen. Sa'Idu Kumo
...Also condoled him over the demise of his uncles
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State, Monday, visited his Gombe State counterpart, Governor Inuwa Yahaya, where he extended the condolences of the Government and people of Bauchi State on the death of Senator Sa'idu Umar Kumo (Garkuwan Gombe).
The governor also condoled with the Government and people of Gombe State over the death of the first Military Governor of North Western State, Alhaji Usman Faruk.
Governor Bala Mohammed delivered his condolence message when he led members of the State Executive Council, State House of Assembly and PDP leaders as well as elders on a condolence visit to Governor Inuwa Yahaya at Gombe Government House.
He said late Alhaji Usman Faruk and late Senator Sa'idu Umar Kumo have contributed positively to the growth and development of not only their state, but Nigeria as a whole.
The Bauchi governor who described their demise as a great loss to Gombe State and the nation, also commiserated with Governor Inuwa Yahaya over the deaths of his two uncles.
"Your Excellency, we are here on a very solemn visit to condole you and your family and of course the emirate of Gombe over the demise of your uncles and Garkuwan Gombe."
"Your Excellency, accept our condolences and commiseration. May Allah give you the courage and the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss."
Governor Bala Mohammed acknowledged the cordial relationship existing between Bauchi and Gombe States and pledged his administration's desire to sustain it.
Responding, Governor Inuwa Yahaya thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for the condolence visit and appreciated the good things Bauchi is doing to Gombe State.
The governor while in Gombe also condoled the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Usman Shehu Usman, over the demise of prominent sons of his emirate. He egually visited the families of the deceased.
