Gov Darius Ishaku Felicitates With Christians at Christmas

It's another Christmas, the anniversary of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and Taraba State Governor, His Excellency, Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku, is rejoicing with all Christians in the state on the memorable occasion.

Gov. Ishaku said Christmas is a key part and reminder of God's grand salvation plan for mankind. The coming of Jesus Christ into the world through a unique but humble birth process remains the greatest symbol of identity, hope and unity among Christians all over the world. He said Christmas which is the anniversary of that great act of God's love for humanity deserves to be celebrated.

He, however, urged Christians not to forget the lesson behind the birth of Jesus and the circumstances of that unique birth, all of which point to God's love for mankind. He reminded them to also endeavour to demonstrate the lesson and spirit behind Christmas among themselves and also in their relationship with people of other religions and faiths.

Governor Ishaku reminded them not to forget to pray against Covid-19 which is still prevalent in the country even as they celebrate.

Recent statistics of prevalence, he said, indicate that the country is into a new wave of the infection and called for prayers and actions against the pandemic.

He also called for the continuation of strict compliance with the protocols of prevention which his administration has faithfully promoted. He said it is only through sustained collective action that we can win the war against the pandemic.

Gov Ishaku wished all Christians happiness as they celebrate Christmas today
