Gov. Matawalle Vows to Maintain the Principle of Due Process and Rule of Law in Zamfara

Zamfara State Governor, Hon. Bello Mohammed MON, (Matawallen Maradun) said his administration will not compromise the compliance with the principles of due process and rule of law while carrying out government business in the state.


The governor made this known while swearing in five Special Advisers and four Permanent Secretaries at the Government House, Gusau. 



Matawalle said his administration will not tolerate any form of compromise or disregard to the principles of due process and rule of law which are the guiding line of the government in carrying out government business.


The governor said a due process office has since been established in order to promote accountability and transparency as his administration has opted for a modern way of governance.


He explained that the due process office will be entrenched with the rudiments of civil service at ensuring zero tolerance for laxity, corruption and indiscipline in all ramifications towards good governance. 


On the newly sworn in officers, the governor urged them to augment the role of the State Executive Council in adding more value and credence to his political strides in the governance of the state. 


He further stated that they should be fully prepared as they take up their new assignments by putting all hands on deck in confronting the political and social challenges facing the state so as to turn around the fortunes for prosperity and posterity. 


Matawalle also congratulated them for earning the trust of the state and the good will of the people which found them worthy of the appointment urging them to live above board while discharging their new responsibilities so that they will justify the confidence reposed in them.


The Shatiman Sokoto reminded the elevated officers that the government and people of the state expect them to bring their knowledge and vast experiences to bear while implementing government policies and programmes for the development of the state. 


In his vote of thanks on behalf of the appointees, Honourable Habibu Yuguda thanked the governor for finding them worthy of handling such exalted offices and promised not to fail the governor especially in his determination of achieving lasting peace in the state. 


He promised that they will assist the governor in his ongoing fight against banditry and other social vices for the benefit towards having a secured Zamfara State and actualizing the governor's dream of a new Zamfara.


The appointees were administered oath of office and the oath of allegiance by Justice Bello Shinkafi under the supervision of the governor according to the laws of the land. 


The new Special Advisers are Hashimu Mohammed Modomawa, 

Sani Danjuma Dambo, Sani M. Shehu Dakko, Habibu Yuguda and Dahiru Muhammad Kura.


Also, those sworn-in as Permanent Secretaries include Mainasara Shehu Bakura, Musa Liman Shinkafi, Lauwali Mainasara     Bungudu and Tukur Garba.


The ceremony was attended by the Speaker, Zamfara State House of Assembly, Hon. Nasiru Maazu Magarya, Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Bala Bello Maru, Head of Service, Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe, PDP  State Chairman, Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani, Honourable Grand Khadi Dahiru Mohammed, Members of the State House of Assembly, Honorary Adviser to the Governor, Ambassador Bashir Yuguda Gusau, Former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mukhtar Ahmed Anka, former Speaker, Alhaji Bature Umar Sambo, Commissioners, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries, Directors General and politicians, among others.
