PDP Governors' Forum Felicitates With Gov. Seyi Makinde At 53

The PDP Governors' Forum under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, CFR, (Governor of Sokoto State) has congratulated Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State, on his 53rd birthday anniversary.



In a press statement issued on behalf of the forum and signed by Hon. C.I.D. Maduabum, the Director-General, the Governors said:

"Your emergence as the 28th Governor of Oyo State signalled a new wave of leadership for the people of the state and your stellar performance since your inauguration has been a basket of achievements in service on many spheres of life for the state. You have been a shining example in leadership that the nation needs at this trying times. 


"So on this anniversary of your birthday, we are proud and glad to felicitate with you.


Further the statement said "Reaching deep into your experiences as a manufacturer and philanthropist, you have so far recorded several memorable legacies in the minds of your people as you remain focused on your transformational programmes in the state.


"Within the PDP family, we are inspired by your remarkable social inclusion projects and infrastructural programmes that are changing lives in the state.


"We also appreciate your contributions to the cohesion and unity of our great party at the national and state levels and the PDP Governors' family.


"May God Almighty grant you more years in good health, love of family, as well as wisdom and strength as you continue to pilot the affairs of the state.


"Congratulations and happy birthday our dear Governor.

Governor Mutfwang Receives Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Generous Donation Of 500 Million Naira To Plateau Crisis Victims

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated N500 million to families affected by violent attacks in Plateau States.  The N500 million will be disbursed under the Renewed Hope Initiative and Social Investment Programme, with One Million Naira allocated to each of the 500 affected families. Announcing the donation at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Little Rayfield, the First Lady said that government is concerned about their plight.  Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her deep concern for the victims, stating that the news of the deteriorating security situation in Mangu Local Government Area on May 15, 2023, had deeply saddened her.  She acknowledged the devastation and despair faced by the affected communities, with destroyed homes and disrupted sources of livelihood.
