Governor Fintiri Mourns Late Hajiya Utiya Dahiru Chiroma

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has commiserated with Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani over the loss of her Mother, Hajiya Utiya Dahiru Chiroma who died on Thursday in Abuja after a brief illness. 

Governor Fintiri who prayed Allah to grant the Federal Lawmaker solace also prayed for God's comfort on her and the family.



He said "Mama lived a life of honesty and service to her community and mankind".

He commended her efforts at bringing up Children who would later become responsible citizens of the State and Nation.

"I am happy that Mama taught you and your other siblings the fear of the Lord, and as a Woman to aspire to be a change Agent,  promoting good heritage and moral values". 

The Governor who expressed shock over the demise of the late Hajiya Utiya Chiroma urges the family to be comforted by the fact that their late Matriarch will be remembered for promoting good neighbourliness and love for all irrespective of different beliefs and other considerations.

Governor Fintiri described late Hajiya Utiya as a strong Mother and community leader that Impacted on the lives of many promoting unity.

Rt. Hon. Fintiri noted that "Her Children will miss her Motherly counsel especially now that Senator Binani needs her most", and prayed Allah to grant the family the grace to bear the loss, saying "No matter the age, death is painful to loved ones".

"Please accept my heartfelt condolences, that of my family and the good People of the State".

Delta awards N78bn contract for flyovers in Warri, Effurun

Delta State Government has approved the award of contracts worth N78 billion to Julius Berger Nigeria Limited for the construction of three flyover bridges and road expansion in the Warri/Effurun megalopolis. This was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Tuesday in Asaba.  Briefing journalists at the end of the Exco meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said approval of the contracts were aimed at solving the gridlock often experienced in the twin cities.
