His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, made a stop at the Emergency and Infectious Disease Hospital, under construction at Igbogene by Nigerian Agip Oil Company facilitated by the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources.

The project was flagged-off in May this year and workers were seen today completing the foundation with "German flooring".

Gov. Diri said he wanted to be sure work was going on and that he was pleased with the progress, saying, "The engineer on site has assured of completion in six months time".

The Emergency and Infectious Disease Hospital with 18 months completion period is to serve the people of Bayelsa State and the entire South South region.
